Work commences on new state-of-the-art Siemens facility at Teal Park

Construction has commenced on the new state-of-the-art 7,000 square Siemens’ Global Service Operations Centre at Teal Park.

Located next to Siemens’ existing Teal Park overhaul facility, the new Global Service Operations Centre will help to improve efficiency by having everything in close proximity such as spare parts, turbine engine units, tooling and safety equipment.

The project will be complete by January 2018 and be fully operational by Spring 2018.

Managing director Neil Corner said: “Lincoln is a great place to invest for our business.

“This investment will enable us to further improve our customer responsiveness and optimise our infrastructure to be ready for future growth”.

Head of project management office Clive Cox said: “This development will enable a positive step change in the logistics performance of the business”.

James Avery, project manager, Siemens Real Estate Building Solutions, added: “We are pleased to have selected Simons Group, a Lincoln-based contractor to help us deliver this exciting project, which will hopefully be of benefit to the local economy”.

Andrew Walker, project manager from the Simons Group, is overseeing the project. He said: “Being selected to deliver this project has been a major addition to Simons’ Group local portfolio”.
