Recruitment specialist expands in Leicester

Recruitment specialist, Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment, has taken larger office space at Charles Street in Leicester city centre to facilitate the further expansion of the business.

The company has experienced steady growth since it opened its first Leicester office in 2018 and is now able to complete the relocation which was initially planned for March 2020 but delayed as a result of the outbreak of Covid-19.

Simon Gimson, Thorn Baker Leicester’s Branch Manager, said: “Our new office is perfect for our requirements both now and in the future as the business continues to grow.

“The increased space facilitates social distancing which is important when signing up new candidates and for the protection for our staff. Our great city centre location means we are easy for people to reach which will further benefit the business.

“Despite reports of job shortages, which is true for some sectors, we have a range of clients who are looking for reliable workers to fill their vacant positions.”

To meet the increased business, Thorn Baker has made a new appointment to its Leicester team. Harry Pickering has joined the firm as Labour Manager.

Harry has previous experience in recruitment and hospitality and a wealth of knowledge in customer care. He will play an important role in client registrations and in supporting Simon and Senior Account Manager, Ewelina Wojtkiewicz.

Harry said: “The next few months promise to be extremely busy for me as we support our clients over the busy Christmas period and beyond.

“I am really looking forward to playing my role in helping the further development of Thorn Baker Industrial through its Leicester office. It’s a great base from which we can emerge strongly positioned for even more success in the post Covid-19 world.”
