Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council to convert a church at 4 Castle Gate into a street food venue with other multi-use areas.

The plans from Lewis & Hickey Architects were submitted in support of a full planning
application on behalf of Castle Gates Group Ltd.

The church is a Grade II listed, 2 and a half storey building, and is currently unoccupied.

If the application is approved, 6-8 food and drink vendors would be located on the ground floor of the building, and an additional bar would sit on the first floor.

Seating would spread across the ground and first floor, but there would be a small seating area on the second floor mezzanine. The plans also state that a current stage area in the church will be retained to act as performance area.

Pews in the church will also be reused where possible.
