Plans for Chesterfield care home given the stamp of approval

Plans from Ashgate Road Developments Ltd for a new care home in Chesterfield have been approved by the Borough Council.

Featuring 72 ensuite bedrooms, the scheme is to be built on land adjacent to 6 Ashgate Road. The application site is currently used as a pay and display car park and was formally the site of the Diamond Jubilee Drill Hall.

The new building is to be four storeys high and will occupy the northern portion of the site. The development is also to include communal café space, 27 Parking spaces and 2 electric vehicle charge points.

Nine bedrooms would be provided on the ground floor, 19 on the first, 23 on the second and 21 on the third floor.
