Plans for 198 homes on land to the west of Crown Farm Way, Forest Town, Mansfield have been recommended for approval.
The 2-storey houses are to consist of 56 two bedroom homes, 125 three bedroom houses and 17 four bedroom dwellings.
The 6.5 hectare site is currently in agricultural use. Gleeson Regeneration are behind the plans.
A design statement prepared by Jackson Design Associates on behalf of Gleeson says: “The application site is an urban site with a current residential planning consent. The site is in a sustainable location, well served by public transport, and within close proximity of a number of shops and services.
“The application seeks to redevelop the site for residential purposes enabling the provision of 198 dwellings.
“The resultant scheme would embrace a mix of housing types and sizes and would be capable of providing homes, access roads, appropriate landscaping and acceptable standards of amenity space and car parking.”
