Permission granted for further 60-acre development at Derbyshire business park

Planning permission for a further 60-acre development at Dove Valley Park has been granted by the local authority.

Phase one has already welcomed major names to the area including JCB, Kuehne + Nagel, Müller, Futaba Industrial and Truma.

The approved plans for phase two will generate yet more employment opportunities at the Business Park located off the A50 at Foston, South Derbyshire.

To deliver the necessary services for businesses based at Dove Valley, Clowes Developments has been working with energy supplier, Western Power Distribution and investing in excess of £3m to deliver a new Electricity Primary Substation to provide an additional 9MVA+ of energy. Parties are working towards the ‘High Power Live’ date scheduled for March 2022.

Paul Shanley, Director at Clowes Developments, said: “When Clowes Developments invest, we make sure we consider every aspect of the project to deliver a quality end product. Our focus and ambition centre around delivering imaginative property developments and investments that create diverse and inventive new places to live and work. In the words of our founder we ‘do a proper job’.

“Our commitment to delivering power as an essential service is something we take seriously, which is why we have invested heavily in upgrading this particular service for our current and future clients.”
