Next step for City Ground redevelopment

Redevelopment proposals for Nottingham Forest’s City Ground are progressing now the club has revealed details of a public exhibition.

Since the announcement in March 2019 of the agreement with Nottingham City Council for an extended lease, the club has engaged specialist advisers to undertake detailed surveys and design work to prepare a scheme that is deliverable and will provide a world-class sporting facility.

Discussions have also taken place with Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to inform the scheme.

Following the public exhibition, it is expected the planning application will be submitted before the end of the year. Should planning permission be granted, it is hoped construction could start during the first half of 2020.

Public drop-in sessions

Before the planning application is submitted, the club has organised two public drop-in sessions for the local community to preview the proposals.
