Plans for the erection three new units at Victory Park have been approved by Derby City Council.

The business park, situated next to Rolls-Royce’s civil aerospace campus, has already attracted high-profile companies such as Gardner Aerospace, Intertek, Western Power Distribution and Seamers Joinery.

The 3 new units (units 13, 14 and 15), proposed by Revelan Group Limited, will be of varying sizes tailored to meet current market demand.

Unit 14 is a 13,197 sq ft bespoke building for Scitek, a local research and development business which has close ties with Rolls Royce. Meanwhile Unit 13 will be 28,050 sq ft and Unit 15 will measure at 12,766 sq ft.

A design statement submitted on behalf of the applicant prior to approval reads: “This area of Victory Park lies vacant and disused. The development will create new employment opportunities and conclude the redevelopment of the business park with the addition of 3 modern, attractive industrial units. Based on the above we believe this application should be granted consent.”
