Plans for a new residential development on land north of Onslow Road and east of Station Road in Mickleover have been recommended for approval.
The proposal would see 203 homes constructed on the 9.7ha site, which currently comprises of a group of five former agricultural fields.
A variety of house types would be built, primarily 2 to 4 bedroom homes, with a small group of 1 and 2 bedroom bungalows. There would be a mix of detached and semi- detached units. Many plots would have detached garages.
49 letter of objection have been received regarding to the plans.
A council document released ahead of a final decision on the scheme reads: “The proposal would deliver a high quality sustainable housing development in this sensitive, edge of city location, providing new housing to contribute towards the city‘s housing need.”
