Plans from Lindum Group for a new employment development on land to the east of Station Road, North Hykeham have been approved by North Kesteven District Council.
The development will be constructed directly adjacent to Lindum Business Park. The 3 acre site is currently an open field under the ownership of the Lindum Group with part of the land formally used as a scrapyard.
A document from the council says the development is to contain not more than 1,625 square metres of gross new internal floorspace for B1(a) office use, 1,625 square metres of gross new internal floorspace for B2 general industrial use, and 789 square metres of gross new internal floorspace for B8 storage or distribution use.
A statement submitted to the council on behalf of Lindum says: “The application proposals would see the Lindum Group expanding upon their existing employment provision within North Kesteven. It is our contention that there are no adverse impacts of developing the scheme and the economic benefits the proposals will bring to the area should be recognised through the granting of planning permission.”
