New development to see housebuilder put £3.4 million investment into Mickleover

An East Midlands housebuilder is contributing over £3.4 million to the Mickleover community.

Redrow Homes East Midlands’ Hackwood Grange development in the Derby suburb is providing 290 new family homes and 60 affordable homes.

The investment includes £3 million towards education, including its contribution to a new school, Hackwood Primary Academy, which was recently completed, alongside further provision towards city and county secondary schools.

A contribution of £78,000 will be made towards improving local leisure facilities, and £55,000 will go towards supporting the local community’s healthcare provision.

The housebuilder will also be contributing over £230,000 towards a new bus service over the next three years, alongside a £63,000 commitment to sustainable traffic and highway improvements.

Mary Timlin, Sales Director for Redrow Homes East Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the community of Mickleover and ensuring the sustainability of our popular Hackwood Grange development, while building much-needed homes in the region.”
