New apartment building by Nottingham train station recommended for approval

Plans for a new apartment building by Nottingham railway station have been recommended for approval by the City Council.

If the application submitted by Marrons Planning on behalf of Blocwork – a partnership between Network Rail and Bloc Group – is approved at a planning meeting on 20 November, a 348 apartment development would be constructed at a former car park on Queens Road, adjacent to the train station.

17 studio, 199 one, 126 two and 6 three bedroom apartments would be created along with mixed use space on the ground floor.

46 car parking spaces would be provided along with 264 bike parking spaces.

The development site is owned by Network Rail.
