Leicestershire nursery group opens first premises

Leicestershire-based nursery and pre-school group, Beverley Hutt, has opened its first nursery in Earl Shilton after securing a £170,000 commercial mortgage from HSBC UK.

The nursery group identified Woodlands Nursery and Pre-school as a great opportunity to build intergenerational relationships with Kingsfield Court – a family-owned residential home located next door.

Beverley Hutt used part of the funding to help renovate the 925 sq.ft. bungalow into a fully operational nursery. The new premise, together with rented space at a local school in Barwell, Leicestershire, will increase the nursery’s capacity from 40 to 80 children.

The opening will allow Beverley Hutt to operate for an extra 1,200 hours each year, creating 12 full and part-time local jobs.

Commenting on the new opening, Owner Beverley Hutt, said: “HSBC UK has supported my business since 2006 and the bank’s continued support means we’re able to continue our work with communities nearby. We’re really excited about working closely with Kingsfield Court to provide both age groups the opportunity to improve their social and mental well-being. I would like to thank our Relationship Manager at the bank, Steve Eames, who has been instrumental throughout this process.”

David Tomlinson, Area Director East Midlands Business Banking, HSBC UK said: “The finance package will enable the nursery and pre-school group to expand across Leicestershire. The new nursery in Earl Shilton is a great opportunity to showcase the great intergenerational work and admirable community spirit of the group. It’s an incredibly exciting time and we look forward to working closely in the future.”
