LCO Trading expands in Burton

Burton-based commercial property agents, Rushton Hickman Ltd, has let a 2,857 sq ft modern industrial unit to LCO Trading Ltd on behalf of a private investment client.

The unit is prominently located on Northside Business Park, Hawkins Lane, Burton upon Trent and provides LCO with an ideal relocation to more modern and larger premises than their existing location.

LCO Trading Ltd is a family run business for the purpose of offering a ‘One-Stop-Shop’ online for all home bakers, retailers and wholesalers.

LCO owners, Mark Tilley and Laura Joyce, said: “We chose this property as it is easily accessible for our existing and new customers and our advertising signage can easily be seen from passing traffic.

“Our business growth has  been amazing over the last few years and we needed larger premises to continue our growth and aim of becoming the UK’s leading wholesaler of cake decorating supplies.

“Since moving to our new unit we have already taken on another picker in the warehouse and will be advertising further for another picker and office staff member. Personal thanks go to Simon at Rushton Hickman who has worked tirelessly to get lease terms agreed and the deal completed quickly for us.”

Rushton Hickman Commercial Property Agent, Simon Walker, said: “It is fantastic that 3 years after I previously let larger premises to Mark and Laura, we have now completed a new lease deal with them on even bigger premises. I truly get a sense of satisfaction when seeing a local Burton business thrive and go from strength to strength, particularly in light of the recent doom and gloom in the media.

“The demand for industrial units remains strong despite the pandemic. Within 6 days of the marketing board going up at this property, I had carried out multiple viewings of the unit with various interested parties and got a lease deal agreed between LCO and my client.”

Graham Bancroft, Director at Rushton Hickman, said: “The market for industrial stock continues to go from strength to strength with demand continuing to outstrip supply.

“The turnaround from placing the property on the market and instructing solicitors was once again only a matter of days.”
