Plans from Futures Homeway for 59 homes at Farnborough Drive in Daventry have been approved.
A mix of flats, bungalows, semi-detached and terraced dwellings are proposed to be built.
90% of the 59 homes will be developed for an affordable housing tenure. The
remaining 6 units are to be rented on the open market
A council document released prior to the final decision on the scheme reads: “This report has demonstrated that the development proposed would contribute to providing accommodation to meet the needs of Daventry’s catchment population within an environment whereby the needs of residents are prioritised.
“The development is sited within a sustainable location and may be achieved without detriment to visual and neighbour amenity, parking, noise, flooding and drainage, ecology and landscaping.
“As such, it is considered that there are no technical impediments to the approval of this application and the proposal would accord with the policies the Development Plan and should be approved.”
