Plans from Nottingham City Homes for the construction of 106 homes at the site of the former Eastglade School at Whitcombe Gardens, Nottingham have been approved by the city council.

Pelham Architects were commissioned to design the scheme for the vacant site which will feature 23 one bed flats, 63 two bed houses and 20 three bed houses.

A planning statement released ahead of the decision says: “The proposed development represents a viable and deliverable prospect which would be wholly in keeping with the local built environment, building on the positive characteristics of the area to propose a responsive and sustainable residential scheme.”
