Go-ahead granted for 294-bed student scheme

Plans for a new student accommodation scheme at 248-262 Huntingdon Street, Nottingham, have been approved.

Bildurn is behind the plans for the site which is currently occupied by Halfords Auto Centre and Archer Accident Group.

The proposal involves the demolition of the majority of the existing buildings on the site – with the exception of the art deco façade on the Huntingdon Street/Howard Street frontage – and the construction of a 4, 5, and 7 storey property.

The scheme would provide 294 student bedrooms in a variety of studios and cluster flats, with shared recreation facilities, amenity space and cycle parking.
