A Georgian building in the heart of Castle Donington in Leicestershire has been given a new lease of life after a £500,000 investment and will now open next month as a new beauty and wellness retreat, creating several jobs.
After launching their flagship salon in Nottingham city centre in 2006, the Beauty Temple’s Beauty Temple Retreat is the latest business venture for owners Lucy and Martin Goodwin.
Located on Market Street, the building is steeped in history and was a former drapery and dressmaker in the 1800’s. The Beauty Temple Retreat is split over four levels.
The building will house a Champagne nail bar cafe, gift shop, ‘The Social Space’ – where special events, such as yoga retreats will be held – with a bar and separate dining area, and a new training academy offering beauty courses.
Lucy Goodwin, co-owner of Beauty Temple said: “We are so excited to finally be opening The Beauty Temple Retreat – it has been such a year for us in the beauty industry and after all the setbacks and closures we are all looking forward to opening the doors to something new.”
“This expansion is different from our other salons and I’m confident that guests will leave feeling relaxed and pampered, whether that is from treating themselves to a day at the retreat, taking part in a yoga class or just from popping into our cafe to enjoy a spare half hour!”
