Coronavirus sees MIPIM 2020 cancelled

MIPIM 2020 will not go ahead as planned due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The business event, which usually takes place in March but had been initially postponed until June, has been scrapped for 2020 due to restrictions on travel and public assembly.

The initial hope had been that the trade fair would go ahead on 2-5 June 2020. However ongoing public health concerns have forced a rethink, with those dates impossible to plan for at the current time. The plan is now to hold MIPIM once again at its traditional venue in Cannes on 16-19 March 2021.

MIPIM 2020 exhibitors and visitors can now choose to have their 2020 fees carried over to MIPIM 2021 or reimbursed.

“We appreciate the support and feedback we received from many MIPIM customers and are grateful for their patience and understanding. Together with our partners in Cannes, we will prepare an excellent MIPIM for next year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cannes in March 2021 and, in the meantime, we hope people stay connected and, above all, safe.”, said Ronan Vaspart, MIPIM Director, Reed MIDEM.

A two-day, Paris-based, gathering of real estate and innovative technology leaders is now planned in September and a new online experience, MIPIM Connect, available year-round.
