313 houses could be coming to the land south of Clipstone Road in Nottinghamshire after Mansfield council recommended a development for approval prior to a committee meeting.

The site area measures approximately 10.5 hectares. Outline planning permission for a maximum of 313 dwellings on the site was granted on appeal in July 2011.

The site is currently in agricultural use and forms the western-most of 2 fields to the south of Clipstone Road East, located between Crown Farm Way to the east and residential properties to the west.

Plans, from Newlands Development Ltd, show the development is likely to comprise of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, and flats, with building primarily two-storey, with some three-storey buildings. The density of the development would be approximately 30 dwellings per hectare.
