210-bed student scheme gets green light in Nottingham

Plans for a new student accommodation scheme in Nottingham, on the corner of Huntingdon Street and Alfred Street North, have been granted conditional permission by the city council.

Crosslane Student Developments UK Ltd are behind the proposals which will demolish existing buildings and re-develop 5-17 Huntingdon Street to create a new purpose built student accommodation block with 210 bedrooms.

Welfare and amenity spaces would also be created, including a landscaped courtyard, gym, games lounge and cinema room.

The site is currently occupied by a number of different commercial buildings which are predominately vacant or on short licences.
