Plans from Miller Homes for 187 homes on land between Platt Lane and Station Road in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire have been recommended for approval by Rushcliffe Borough Council.

The 8.98ha application site is located on the north-east edge of Keyworth and is a triangular area of greenfield agricultural land. 5.54 ha of the site would be developed.

The houses will be one or two storey with a variety of bungalows, terraced, detached and semi-detached properties. 20% of the dwellings constructed would be affordable homes.

A document released by the Council ahead of a decision on the scheme says: “The proposed development would deliver a substantial amount of new housing, including affordable housing in an area which has a significant under supply of deliverable housing sites and a severe need for additional affordable housing.”

The plans will be voted on next Thursday (18 July).
