120 home development rejected

Plans submitted by Gladman Developments for a 120 home development have been rejected by Corby Borough Council.

The application sought permission for 120 dwellings to be built on a 8.23ha site, which is currently underdeveloped and in agricultural use, adjacent to Gretton.

The homes would have been primarily two storey, detached buildings with 2 to 5 bedrooms.

A statement from Corby Borough Council reads: “The scale of the housing development proposed would have an unacceptable adverse effect on the village of Gretton that is not outweighed by the benefits of housing delivery.”
