Time Out: Mark Muckle, General Manager at Structural Design Associates

It’s almost the weekend and that means another ‘Time Out’. This week’s questions are answered by Mark Muckle, General Manager at Structural Design Associates, who would like to travel back to the mid-fifties…

What is the first thing you do to get the weekend started?

I like to relax at home at the start of the weekend (which is normally Friday evening at end of a busy week for me)! I either slideshow family photos on the telly, accompanied by a playlist of favourite tunes, or I relax by watching wildlife documentaries (Savage Kingdom was brilliant, and now I’m enjoying Dynasties)!

What is your hobby?

I enjoy building plastic scale models (mostly Allied Forces military models) and playing guitar. I also have a passion for motorbikes and travel.

What is your favourite movie?

This would have to be “Titanic”.

If you hadn’t been successful at what you do, what would you be doing instead as a career?

If I could do it all again, I would go straight back to Civil Engineering – I am still as passionate about engineering as I was as a youngster…if I had to do something else, I may have pursued a career in Paramedics.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

I would enjoy being able to fly.

What is your favourite genre of music?

I enjoy contemporary rock – artists like David Cook, Daughtry, Prime Circle, Counting Crows, U2.

If you could travel to any moment in time where would you go?

I would love to travel back to the mid 50’s – a time when cars, music, the economy and general lifestyle seemed to be very exciting!
