Time Out: Colin Milligan, Sales Director at Tecserv UK

It’s almost the weekend and that means it’s time for another quick-fire Q and A to wind down with. This ‘Time Out’ features Colin Milligan, Sales Director at Tecserv UK.

When he’s not helping companies keep their people, property and processes safe from fire or other security risks, Colin likes to get playful with his two mad dogs and also has a desire for X-Ray vision!

What is the first thing you do to get the weekend started?                                           For me the weekend starts as soon as I can get out of my suit and into my scruffs. I will also have spoken to my lovely wife Liz in the car on the way home to co-ordinate who will be home first to start the tea and mix the G&T!

What is your hobby?                                                                                                         Being from Scotland, I love walking – so I’m, either playing with two mad dogs, Jasper a cocker spaniel and Skye a chocolate lab, or on the golf course (ruining a good walk some may say!)

What is your favourite movie?                                                                                         The Green Mile – it’s a horrific film when it comes to dealing out crime punishment, but it’s also a story of remorse, compassion and loyalty.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?                                                     On holiday I was once hypnotised and was led to believe I had x-ray vision. The experience was hilarious as the audience genuinely thought I could see them naked (I couldn’t and wouldn’t have wanted to). With X-ray vision I’d be able to spot undetected voids, particularly in historic buildings. Voids are a major cause of fire spreading in burning buildings – so it’s definitely a super power that could save a lot of lives.

If you hadn’t been successful at what you do, what would you be doing instead as a career?                                                                                                                           Professional golfer! I had a great life growing up in Scotland with so many fabulously scenic courses to play!

What is your favourite genre of music?                                                                           80’s Soul, Elvis, Cold Play as you can see it’s an eclectic mix.

If you could travel to any moment in time where would you go?                                   I’d probably go back to when Apple was launched and invest $100!
