Time Out: Andy Jackson, Operations Director at Recruit 2 You

The weekend has crept on us once again. That means it’s time for some quickfire questions with another business leader from across our region. This week, we chatted to Andy Jackson, Operations Director at Recruit 2 You, a multi-sector recruitment agency based in Heanor, Derbyshire.

What is the first thing you do to get the weekend started?

For me it has to be a Freshbite Pizza on a Friday evening, that’s when I know the weekend is here.

What is your hobby?

Eight years ago, I got my NPPL (National Private Pilot Licence) and I enjoy flying Microlight aircraft and taking my friends and family up in the air.

What is your favourite movie?

Back to the Future – all three films.

If you hadn’t been successful at what you do, what would you being doing instead as a career?

This is a total change to me career wise, previously I had spent 20 years as an engineer in the aerospace and nuclear industry, so if I wasn’t successful at this new role, I would still be in working as an engineer.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Time travel! I would love that to be my superpower.

What is your favourite genre of music?

For me it has to be anything from the 80s, that’s got to be the best era for music, ever.

If you could travel to any moment in time where would you go?

I would love to travel back to the 80s, as it is a time, I feel, when there was so much opportunity.
