Over 130 professional services gathered for Rothera Sharp’s BBQ ‘Meat-Up’ and fundraiser on 14th September, which raised £1,400 for Age UK.
The event at St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market was held in conjunction with Age UK Notts to celebrate their 75th anniversary. Rothera Sharp has also joined forces with the charity for its Trees of Life campaign, which was launched at the event.
Guests enjoyed a selection of BBQ delights and were invited to take part in a raffle to raise additional funds for the charity.
The Trees of Life campaign aims to raise £75,000 for Age UK and create a lasting legacy for local communities by planting 750 trees in locations across Nottinghamshire.
Christina Yardley, a partner at Rothera Sharp says of the scheme: “This is a great opportunity for people to celebrate the lives of loved ones by planting trees, whilst improving our great county and raising money for the wonderful work Age UK does”.
