More than 100 full and part time jobs have been announced at Wicksteed Park as it begins a new period in its development.
The jobs are available across all parts of the Kettering-based family attraction, including catering, rides and customer service.
In recent years the park has completed a £3million project to restore its lake, aided by a £1miilion National Lottery grant, and its £2.5million Historic Heart scheme, funded by the Wicksteed Charitable Trust, to transform the elegant Edwardian pavilion, central piazza and precinct.
This year the family attraction is beginning the implementation of its new @play project, funded by a £1.78million grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, which will continue its transformation and preserve its history.
The project will include a heritage playground and the restoration of the park’s Rose Garden, and the upper floor of the Pavilion (the Captain’s Lounge) will be refurbished to create a new Learning Centre and events venue with views across the park from a restored veranda walkway.
Wicksteed Park Head of Marketing Rachel James said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Wicksteed Park family at a really exciting time, with lots of new developments and improvements.”
