Nottingham ticket sellers Gigantic amongst finalists for award

Gigantic, the national ticketing agent, has been revealed as a finalist at the Event Production Awards for ‘Best Ticketing Provider’, after a record breaking year.

The awards recognise the very best within the outdoor and live events industry, with judges looking at how the finalists have achieved business growth and key successes throughout 2017.

Gigantic celebrated its best trading year in 2017. Sales increased by 38 percent, turnover was up 17 percent, as well as staffing levels increasing by more than 25 percent. Since 2012 Gigantic has sold more than 3.5 million tickets across a variety of sectors, from concerts and festivals to sporting events.

The company holds the third largest inventory in the UK and works with some of the biggest stadiums and music festivals in the country. Significant wins in 2017 included selling tickets for British Summer Time Hyde Park, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, as well as securing a new long-term contract with the UK’s biggest city-based music festival, Tramlines.

Founder, Mark Gasson says: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted and is great recognition for an exceptional year for Gigantic. On top of significant growth across the entire business and working with an ever-increasing number of promoters, venues, events and festivals across the UK, we also marked a ten year milestone. To win would be an epic start to 2018!”
