A Nottingham business which is helping to remove the fear of needles for many patients across the UK is set to fly the flag for British healthcare innovation at a global conference in Qatar later this year.

Based at Innovation Park, University of Nottingham, VeinTrain specialises in Venepuncture & Cannulation and Intravenous Therapy Training and Consultancy, helping to raise standards in competency.

Now, VeinTrain, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, has won a place to be one of just 20 companies globally to showcase its products at the WISH Innovation Showcase in Qatar on November 13-14 at the World Innovation Summit for Health.

VeinTrain will present its expertise to over 2,000 healthcare experts, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers and Ministers from over 100 countries.

VeinTrain founder Sarah Phillips said: “It is an honour to be invited to showcase at such a prestigious healthcare event and I am delighted that attention is being given to veins which have been off the radar for too long. We hope to do Nottingham, the Midlands Engine and the UK proud.”
