The prestigious Burton Waters Boating Festival will be returning to Lincoln for the fifth year on Saturday 9th June from 12-5pm.
The event, which attracted more than 500 people in 2017, aims to raise more than £1,000 this year for Prostate Cancer UK and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
With live music, photo booths, face painting, a raffle, giant garden games, stalls and over 30 boats on display and a range of other family activities, the event is set to be the biggest to date.
Diane Beck, Events Organiser at Burton Waters Boat Sales, said: “Each year the Boating Festival has a great atmosphere and is attended by hundreds of people.
“This year we have more businesses attending than ever before with a vibrant array of stalls, activities and games to enjoy.
“Boating enthusiasts from all over the UK come to enjoy the day, but what’s fantastic about our Boating Festival is that it’s a great a day out for the whole family.
“I’d like to thank all of the businesses who will be attending and setting up stalls on the day for their support, especially those who are supplying prizes for our raffle which will help us raise money for our two important causes.”
Burton Waters Boat Sales has already received a number of generous donations towards the raffle which can be won on the day, including two full hospitality tickets to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park, luxury hampers, afternoon tea for two at Dennetts Cellar Tea Room, restaurant vouchers and more.
Luxury retirement developer Arbor Living, whose 20-acre Lakeshore development in Lincoln will feature 64 park homes when complete, is one of the local businesses attending the prestigious Boating Festival with a stall and is amongst those generously donating prizes for the raffle.
Graham Richardson, Arbor Living MD, said: “We are very proud to be attending the highly anticipated Boating Festival, which is being organised by our neighbour Burton Waters Boat Sales.
“Our Lakeshore development is a stone’s throw away from the festival and we are proud to be working closely with other local businesses to provide a quality day for people of all ages and to be raising money for such great causes.
“Burton Waters is a beautiful, relaxing and popular complex in Lincoln, which many of our residents enjoy, and is the perfect spot to host the event.
“Our team will be hard to miss on the day as our stall is somewhat unusual, so be sure to keep an eye out for our three-wheeled branded Italian motor, the Piaggio. We are very much looking forward to meeting people from the local community and beyond at the Festival.”
Lakeshore, which is Arbor Living’s first development of its kind, features high-spec park homes offering over-55s a smarter lifestyle option when they are looking to downsize and release equity in their property.
Other businesses attending on the day include Timeless Men’s Accessories, Activities Away, Stella & Dot Jewellery, Custom Bakes, Temple Spa Products, Jorge Artisan Foods and more.
The event is free to attend and no booking is required, just turn up on the day to enjoy an extremely buoyant day.
