Commenting on the final shortlist, Alex Alcock, Director of Accountancy and Finance Recruitment at event organisers Distinct Recruitment, said: “We are very excited to host the first edition of the East Midlands Finance Awards – it looks set to be a tremendous occasion recognising region’s best accounting and finance talent.
“The standard of entries has been exceptionally high and truly showcases the hard word and determination of our accounting and finance teams within the East Midlands. It’s also been great to recognise some of the region’s biggest stalwarts in the Financial Director of the Year category and the new talent coming to the fore in the Rising Star award.
“The diversity of the companies shortlisted should make for some interesting results on the night – I don’t envy the job of the judges of having to decide where the final prizes will be awarded!”
