Derby print company takes on challenge to raise money for 30 charities in 30 days

Mercia Image Print has been serving the city of Derby for three decades this year and to mark the milestone, staff at the site are hoping to raise as much money as possible for 30 different charities in the 30 days of June.

The initiative is lead by Owner and Managing Director, Amanda Strong.

The fundraising feat, which is supported by businesses across the city and county is a third of the way through, with a couple of events held already, including a Ladies Luncheon at Morley Hayes which raised over £1,400.

Momentum is building with a number of events yet to be held including:

-Formula 30 Scalextric Challenge night at Slice of India on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th June

– T’ourmet Night on Friday 15th June arranged by Bespoke Inns involves great food, great company and great entertainment at three of the Bespoke Inns pubs The Dragon, The Boot and Harpurs

– Nelson’s Gin Tasting Evening at pentahotel on Wednesday 19th June

The initiative will draw to an end in spectacular fashion with a grand finale Celebration Gala Dinner on Saturday 29th June.

Amanda Strong, Managing Director of Mercia Image Print, said: “I am overwhelmed by the support that my fellow businesses have shown to this initiative and look forward to seeing many more of them at the events that are still due to take place.

“We wanted to do something special with this being our anniversary and we thought raising money for good causes across the city was a great way to celebrate that.”
