A team of keen cyclists from Bruton Knowles’ Nottingham office will be biking a collective 250-miles this month, in a bid to raise £500 for Cancer Research UK.
The bike ride is part of Bruton Knowles’ campaign to raise £30,000 for Cancer Research UK across its 12 offices, over two years. The national consultancy announced its partnership with the charity at the end of last year and the team has since gone above and beyond to raise vital funds through a number of fundraising initiatives.
To support the launch, a staff member from each one of Bruton Knowles’ offices was appointed as a Charity Champion, playing a key role in spearheading fundraising, by co-ordinating the delivery of all activities based within their office. Grace Dixon was appointed in the Nottingham office.
As a biking enthusiast, Grace was keen for the team to get involved in the challenging Nottingham Cycle Live on Sunday 23rd June, covering 50 miles each across South Nottinghamshire.
Alongside Grace, Managing Partner, James Bailey; Partner, Andrew Prowse and Associate, Sam Spencer, will be taking part. It will be one of the property consultancy’s biggest charity challenges to date and it is the first time that the Nottingham team has participated in an event of this size.
Grace said: “Cycling 50 miles will be one of the hardest activities that the team has taken on but we are determined to finish the ride and raise much needed funds for Cancer Research UK.
“Everyone at Bruton Knowles has been, or will know someone who has been affected by cancer, and by supporting Cancer Research UK, we can help the charity take another step in fighting this horrible disease.”
James added: “Since we announced the launch of our partnership with Cancer Research UK, the team has been dedicated to raising as much money as possible through dress down days, supermarket collections and bake sales.
“The bike ride will be challenging, yet exciting for the whole of team. We can’t wait to take part and reach our fundraising target of £500.”
