Tool launched for Lincs businesses to self-assess digital capabilities

A free tool has been launched for Lincolnshire businesses to self-assess their digital capabilities and discover ways that technology can help them to work smarter.

The ‘Digital Health Check’ has been launched by the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub so that businesses can stay ahead of the curve as the county’s digital sector nears £1 billion.

The tool takes 15 minutes to assess five key areas: e-commerce, digital strategy, ICT, digital marketing strategy and implementation.

As well as immediately providing a personalised report of a business’s technological strengths and weaknesses, the tool can also recommend handy resources to help businesses embrace digital and reach new heights of success. This includes everything from how-to guides, to ways of building or refreshing a business’s digital strategy.

The goal is to encourage businesses across the county to take further advantage of technology, unlocking their potential and helping their business to expand.

In this increasingly digital world, it is essential for all businesses to have easy access to online tools that support growth. Examples include digital marketing tools such as e-newsletters and social media scheduling programmes, or internal processes such as CRM systems and cloud management software that can make their workforce more efficient.

“We know that there’s a need among businesses across Greater Lincolnshire for digital support, but it can be difficult to know where to start or what to prioritise,” said Samantha Harrison, Head of the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub.

“We’ve created an exciting and practical tool so businesses can access how they are currently using technology and access guidance on how to develop their digital capabilities in the future.”
