Since just before lockdown, Streets Chartered Accountants have been providing a daily – then weekly – update on news, announcements and measures introduced to help businesses and individuals manage and deal with the impact of COVID-19. With lockdown now being eased and life and business starting to return to some sort of new normal and with less in the way of announcements, the firm will be moving to a fortnightly update.
Over the coming weeks, Streets will be looking to focus more on supporting clients with news and information to help them on the journey to rebuilding, even re-imagining their businesses and realising the opportunities presented. The firm will, of course, keep you up to date and informed of announcements that might affect you or your business.
In this week’s business support update, Streets cover the introduction of flexible furlough and the implications, support for Directors and Shareholders, the CJRS and workplace pensions and the need to re-instate direct debits for VAT payments.
In this week’s podcast, the firm talk to Neil Everatt, CEO of Selenity, who are innovators in cloud technologies. Neil highlights the challenges of building a successful technology business, how it has switched from being a software reseller to a developer and explores what innovative measures he has put in place to recruit, reward and retain team members.
