Pentland Brands, the company behind global brand names such as Speedo, Mitre, Ellesse, Boxfresh and Berghaus, today announces a major recruitment drive in Nottingham. The company is bringing over 100 jobs to the area across a wide range of roles including product innovation, marketing, sales and finance.
Nottingham has been the home of swimwear brand, Speedo since Pentland acquired the brand in 1990 and it’s now bringing its Teamsports brands – rugby brand, Canterbury and football brand, Mitre – to its East Midlands HQ.
Sean Hastings, Global Marketing Director for Pentland Brands, shares his time between the Nottingham, Sunderland and London offices. He says, “We know there’s great talent across the region, so it’s an ideal time to grow our multi-brand team here at our East Midlands HQ. Speedo has a fantastic track record of innovative design and now we’ll be able to share this expertise with our Teamsports brands.”
Nottingham remains the home of Speedo, and will become the principal site for its sales, marketing, product and innovation teams across its portfolio of Active brands.
Hastings adds, “These developments will help us to better manage our brands and opens up a broader range of career opportunities for our teams to work across multiple brands and projects. To do this we’re launching academies that will help our people develop these specialist skills.”
Pentland Brands products are available in over 190 countries and it employs more than 1,800 people. Established in Liverpool in 1932, Pentland is a family owned, British business investing in people. It’s been recognised as a Great Place To Work and won multiple sports and fashion industry awards.
Following the recruitment drive, Pentland Brands will employ around 200 people in Nottingham, plus 72 field-based or flexible location roles.
