Leicestershire businesses are being called to help shape the future of transport in the county by encouraging staff and customers to take part in the Big Travel Survey.
The survey is open to everyone who lives or works in Leicestershire and aims to understand how people travel day-to-day, including journeys to work, healthcare, education, shops and leisure activities.
This feedback will guide the next stage of Leicestershire County Council’s 15-year Local Transport Plan and its focussed strategies, ensuring future projects reflect real travel patterns.
Councillor Adam Tilbury, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “If you work in Leicestershire, your journeys to and from your workplace are a key part of how our transport network operates every day.
“We want to understand those patterns whether you drive, cycle, walk or use public transport alongside other trips people make for shopping, healthcare and leisure.
“Feedback from businesses and organisations on these patterns will help us build a clear picture of how the network is used now and how it needs to support people and businesses in the future, helping to shape future transport projects.
“For businesses, this is a chance to make sure transport plans work for your employees and customers. Better transport connectivity can support recruitment, reduce congestion and make it easier for people to reach workplaces and services.”
