East Midlands Bricks Awards adds digital element

In light of Government guidelines, the potential for increased lockdown and the changing face of conferencing, the East Midlands Bricks Awards has decided to add a fully digital element to its scheduled award ceremony.

The event will still take place on Thursday 29th October 2020 but will now be reachable from the comfort of your own home or office as well as in person from the Trent Bridge County Cricket Ground.

Presenting the ideal opportunity to celebrate success and establish new contacts, within a safe and secure environment, the prestigious East Midlands Bricks Awards is Business Link’s annual event, and recognises development projects and people in commercial and public building in the region – from offices, industrial and residential, through to community projects such as leisure schemes and schools.

Steve Fisher, Group Editor says: “The last few months have proven the most challenging times ever, for companies across all sectors – especially those in the property and construction sector. This industry was one of the last to enter lockdown and amongst the first to emerge – it therefore seems fitting that we honour these companies first with our annual award ceremony and hope those involved in this sector will attend and cheer on the winners.”

In addition to current plans, the event will be hosted digitally but also recorded, with the results posted online and available for guests to attend via email invitation on the day. Networking will be available via breakout rooms, and the awards will be posted to the winners in each category.

“It’s important that we continue to recognise those doing good work in the region despite the lockdown,” Steve Fisher says. “Hosting the event online as well as holding it in person will enable us not only to celebrate companies who deserve it, but also to continue to network and liaise with people at a time where face-to-face meetings may be difficult or unsafe. It will also mean that, should the situation worsen or the Government guidelines on events change yet again to prevent physical events at all, the East Midlands Bricks Awards can continue in its digital format.”

For those who haven’t yet secured a seat, additional tickets may be purchased online at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/east-midlands-bricks-awards-2020-tickets-84605225507

Those who would like to register their interest in attending digitally may do so below:

Please Note: The safety of our event delegates, employees and customers is our top priority and East Midlands Business Link magazine together with the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground will be following all Government guidelines when hosting this event and taking all precautions necessary to ensure visitors and staff can attend in a safe and secure environment.

Accordingly, Business Link Magazine is working to Government guidelines on all social events, including awards and conference events, and the above date is therefore subject to change if required by legislation and/or the Government’s COVID-19 policy.
