A company specialising in digital marketing has spoken of their delight at being named among the finalists in a prestigious county awards final.
Marketing Labs, based at the Worksop Turbine Innovation Centre, has been picked from more than 180 entries to be named as one of three finalists in the Start Up Business of the Year category at the Nottingham Post Business Awards 2018.
Managed by Oxford Innovation on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, Worksop Turbine Innovation Centre provides serviced office space solutions for growing and start-up businesses. As well as this, tenants can take advantage of on-site business growth coaching services and training workshops.
Since launching the business single handedly from a base at the Shireoaks Triangle Business Park 20 months ago, Matt Janaway, Marketing Labs Managing Director, has not only expanded his office space but also his team has grown to 12. Current projections indicate a gross revenue growth from £400,000 in year one to £900,000 by the end of year two.
Matt said: “Being nominated for this award is a good example of why the Worksop Turbine is so good. In just 20 months we have moved to our third office and grown to a team of 12 as well as being on target to double our gross revenue. We are now in a position that we are having to turn prospective clients away as we can’t take on any more work.
“Everything from the café, to reception team and business support provides start-up businesses, like us, with an excellent launch pad. We are delighted to have reached the final and hope that the judges have been impressed with our huge growth which has been achieved in a unique way without any marketing or advertising effort. Our success is purely on the back of word of mouth recommendations and our reputation within the digital marketing industry.”
Marketing Labs provide expert digital marketing advice and SEO strategy to around 100 clients covering a wide spectrum of industries from local window cleaners to multinational companies turning over £200 million a year. Each client has grown and benefited from their digital skills. In particular, one client achieved 913 per cent traffic growth in 12 months.
Matt added: “We offer SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and digital marketing services. SEO is a fine art and it’s our bread and butter. With very few people understanding it – that’s where we come in. We offer cost-effective white-hat SEO, without cutting corners, to ensure the best online business growth possible for our clients.”
