Christmas supplier invests £1m in growth plans and new Lincoln premises

A company that brings Christmas cheer all year round has invested more than £1 million into its future with the purchase of new premises in Lincoln.

Fizzco, a company that provides Christmas decorations, lighting and installations across the UK, has purchased more than 10,000 square feet of combined office and warehouse space at Lincoln Enterprise Park on the city’s Newark Road thanks to a six-figure commercial mortgage from HSBC UK.

Wendy Clarkson, the company’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to have moved into our new premises, which provides us with office space, an enormous amount of storage and will also house our purpose-built private client showroom to really showcase what we are capable of with the visual merchandising side of things. We believe that this will be the first showroom of its quality in the UK, with the scale to showcase our larger retail capabilities.

“We have relocated due to expansion and hope to make this our permanent home. We’re a family-run business and that was part of the reason we decided to locate ourselves at Lincoln Enterprise Park.”

The company, founded in 2006, provides lighting, decorations and installation to both consumer and B2B clients, including hotels, councils and cruise ships.

Fizzco is also a main supplier and installation company providing many of the UK’s largest retail centres and shopping destinations, including INTU Watford and East Kilbride Shopping Centre, the largest retail destination in Scotland.

The company employs 13 full-time staff and will soon be taking on an additional Christmas team as the festive season arrives. As installations are required, the team swells by around 40 each year to meet the demands of overnight installations across the UK.

Wendy added: “We are excited to be working with people on the inevitable run-up to Christmas and with our new premises now operational we are ready for the next stage in the Fizzco story. We anticipate growth over the next few years. This has been part of our plan to specialise in Christmas all year round and to be the go-to company when it comes to decoration and lighting.”

Ian Green, Relationship Manager for Business Banking in Lincolnshire, HSBC UK added: “The funding from HSBC UK is allowing the Fizzco business to grow in a way that simply wasn’t possible in its previous location. We’re delighted to have been able to facilitate the move and wish Wendy and her team all the very best in their new home.”
