Dealing with unacceptable behaviour at work can be a legal minefield for employers, but advice is on hand this month at a breakfast seminar hosted by Cleggs Solicitors.
The event, which is free to clients and contacts of the Nottingham-based law firm, takes place at 8.15am on Thursday 21st January at the Riverbank Bar & Kitchen in Nottingham.
Emma Tegerdine, associate at Cleggs Solicitors, said: “Our upcoming seminar will address some of the difficult and delicate issues in the workplace around poor conduct.
“It is an opportunity for employers to know where they stand on employee behaviour in the workplace and to gain an understanding of different situations which may arise.”
Issues to be discussed will include how to get on top of poor attendance, what to do with employees who are not pulling their weight or have a bad attitude and how to respond to staff misconduct.
The seminar will look at ways of resolving behavioural issues informally, plus the risks of dealing with unacceptable behaviour and how to minimise them. Advice will also be given on when and how to follow a formal disciplinary process, and when to dismiss.
The event is expected to finish at around 10am.
