Anthony James Insurance Brokers launches sister brand for new era of growth

Leicestershire-based insurance brokers Anthony James has launched Proteqt, a new company to enhance its offering and strengthen its position as a provider of insurance services to small businesses.

For over 10 years, Anthony James has specialised in offering tailored insurance advice and bespoke risk management solutions to local businesses as well as multi-nationals across a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, construction as well as retail and leisure.

The launch of Proteqt marks one of the most important steps in the company’s evolution, sharpening the firm’s focus on what it can do for some of its smaller clients and partners. As well as a new brand identity and website, Proteqt has appointed five talented insurance experts ready for the next phase of growth.

Jacob Duckworth, sales director at Anthony James, explained: “Working with small enterprises has always been one of the foundations of our business. We didn’t want to lose sight of this.

“Over the past year, we’ve been working hard to think about how we can put the right systems and team in place to service our smaller clients even better. Proteqt has really been a manifestation of that process.”

Leicester design and marketing agency Creative Direction developed a brand strategy based around a vibrant, flexible identity system.

“People often confuse a brand with their logo, where in fact the brand is so much more,” explains Creative Direction’s marketing director, Dominic Shaw. “For Proteqt, this was about creating a marketing space that not only potential clients could buy in to, but more importantly inspired Proteqt’s internal team too.”

The launch of Proteqt follows a successful period for Anthony James, with the firm achieving 30% year-on-year growth. Anthony James now employs 25 people at its Loughborough office, which is also undergoing a refurbishment to better reflect the new direction of the two brands.

Steve Boorman, Managing Director at Anthony James, said: “This is a really exciting moment in the history of Anthony James. Despite a really challenging year for all businesses and our industry, these are positive steps we are taking and I couldn’t be prouder of our team who have worked so hard. Proteqt has been behind the scenes for some time now and I’m delighted to be able to share it.”
