The Recruitment Group expands into Nottingham following acquisition

The Recruitment Group, which launched at the beginning of April 2021, are continuing their growth plans, following the recent acquisition of established Nottingham-based recruitment company, On-call Recruitment, incorporating another well-established regional business into The Recruitment Group’s offering, headed up by Managing Director Paul Hipkiss.

On-call Recruitment is based in Nottingham City Centre and was originally founded in 2005 by Adrian Rawden, specialising in industrial recruitment of temporary, contract and permanent staff.

This latest acquisition will add to The Recruitment Group’s existing industrial sector while providing them with their 12th location within the UK and establishing them within Nottingham whilst opening a new office in Hucknall especially for this part of the business.

Paul Hipkiss, MD of The Recruitment Group, said: “I am delighted we have been able to add On-call Recruitment into the ever-growing Recruitment Group brand. On-call has a solid reputation within Nottingham and I am really looking forward to getting involved within an area I know well whilst building on the great work Adrian and his team have done for the last 16 years.

“We have big plans to expand the team in Nottingham and will be focussing on the industrial, office & professional, technical and driving sectors, using this latest purchase as a springboard to greater market share in the Nottinghamshire areas.

“I would like to thank Adrian for everything he has done to ensure this acquisition took place and for handing us a very solid business, we will be doing our level best to ensure we do him proud in the future and continue the great work he started all those years ago.”

Adrian Rawden, the former owner of On-call, said: “On-call recruitment has now come of age and is shortly going to celebrate not only its 16th birthday since being formed in 2005 but now its new ownership following its acquisition by The Recruitment Group.

“My wife and I are incredibly proud of our time as On-call’s founders and would like to thank the many clients and most importantly the workforce and colleagues for making the business successful throughout our time.

“The new merger will take On-call onto the next level and will enhance the principles set out for excellence, with a personable approach to people and the work placements delivered throughout the industry, with the new ownership and further investment it will only enhance the offering which was an important factor in agreeing its sale. I wish Paul and his team all the very best with their future endeavours.”
