The Reflex Group, the Mansfield-based packaging and labelling business, has seen sales exceed £100m for the first time, according to results for the year ended 28 February 2019.

Sales grew 22% from £86m to £105m. Profit before tax meanwhile decreased from £3.49m to £2m.

A statement from the firm says: “The current financial year is a period of consolidation as we complete the absorption of recent acquisitions and drive improvements in their performance. Profitability has grown strongly this year and the group continues to track forecasts.

“As always, the directors are proud of the team they have brought together and grateful for the efforts of all in bringing the Group successfully through a period of rapid growth and change.”

Reflex rescued two packaging businesses in November 2018: Fusion Flexibles Limited and Mercury Packaging Limited. All staff were transferred as part of the transaction, saving over 130 jobs.

Formed in 2002, Reflex now operates out of 19 sites across the UK.
