A Nottinghamshire care provider has purchased a new care home with financial support from Barclays.

National Care Consortium Ltd, who have their Head Office at Radford Road, Nottingham have purchased Alderlea in Grimsby – which will offer care for 40 clients.

Following three earlier acquisitions, also funded by Barclays, the company now owns 4 care homes based in Grimsby, Hull and Driffield.

Commenting on the funding, Tanzeel Younas, Director of National Care Consortium Ltd, said: “Part of our strategic growth plan has been to expand into new areas of the country. When the opportunity arose to purchase Alderlea in Grimsby, we were keen to progress.

“Our ethos has always been to provide high quality care and to ingratiate ourselves with the local community and this is something we will continue to do at these new homes.”

Funding for the purchase was provided by Barclays. Alan Mele, Relationship Director at Barclays in Nottingham said: “We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with the business spanning twenty years.

“Tanzeel and his family have many years’ experience in the industry and we are delighted to support them with this latest purchase which will add to their current portfolio of homes.”
