Leicester firm sold to Italian luxury packaging company

Pollard Boxes has been sold to Italian luxury packaging company Pusterla 1880.

Based in Leicester, Pollard Boxes designs, manufactures and supplies innovative, luxury packaging solutions for the beauty, drinks, gift, entertainment and corporate markets, aligning with Pusterla’s international presence in the luxury packaging market.

Mark Pollard, Managing Director of Pollard Boxes, will now take up the role of managing Pusterla’s UK operations.

Freeths advised the shareholders of Pollard Boxes, led by Tom Brown, Mohammed Abbas (Senior Associate – Corporate) and Richard Ferguson (Managing Associate – Tax). The team worked alongside Cavendish Corporate Finance, led by partners Linda Sullivan and James Ellis, to see the transaction through to completion.

Tom Brown, corporate partner at Freeths, said: “We were delighted to work with Mark, his family and the Cavendish team. We’re sure that this marks the beginning of a fantastic new relationship between Pollard Boxes and Pusterla.”

Linda Sullivan, partner and head of the media and digital technology team at Cavendish, said: “In this transaction we achieved an excellent result for all the Pollard shareholders and with Mark Pollard still at the helm I feel sure that the combined Pusterla and Pollard operations have a great future.”
