Derby-based construction & engineering firm wins major contract with Tecnicas Reunidas

Derby-based, U.S-backed firm Atlantic Projects Company (UK), which provides construction and engineering services for power energy industry customers worldwide, has has received a contract from Tecnicas Reunidas to erect a 299 MW biomass boiler at TeesREP Biomass Power station in Teeside, UK.

Work will begin in July at the MGT Teesside-owned power station, with the project expected to be completed in 2019.

Philip Healy, managing director of Atlantic Projects Company, said: “We are delighted to be working with Tecnicas Reunidas to deliver this important project for the UK renewable energy industry”.

Atlantic Projects Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S firm Argan Inc.
