£2.3million European funding made available in Leicester & Leicestershire

Loan approvals on the rise – but businesses failing to take advantage

The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) has announced that £1million has been made available to the Leicester and Leicestershire area under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

These funding opportunities are for organisations to deliver projects which fall under the following priorities:

  • SME Support: Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) £500,000
  • SME Support International Trade: Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) International Trade £500,000

In addition, the LLEP is also releasing a £1.3million call under the following priority:

  • ICT: Enhancing Access To, and Use and Quality of, Information and Communications Technology.

It must be noted, however, that this funding will need to be ‘matched’ by 50% by the applicant.
