Work starts on new homes at £60m development in Ruddington

Nottingham-based housebuilder Avant Homes has commenced work on its brand-new £60m Wilbur Chase development in Ruddington.

Planning permission was granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council earlier this year for the development located on Musters Lane, just five miles south of Nottingham city centre and close to Rushcliffe Country Park.

The initial phase of work has now commenced at Wilbur Chase and once all works are complete, the development will bring 175 new homes to the area, including 122 three, four and five-bedroom homes and 53 affordable homes.

The initial phase is due to go on sale before the end of the year with the first homes expected to be completed in early 2021. The overall build is expected to take around four years.

Avant Homes Midlands sales and marketing director Steve Rider said: “Wilbur Chase is a hugely exciting development for us and it’s great that the first phase of work is now underway. There has already been significant interest in Wilbur Chase from a range of potential buyers and we fully expect to see properties selling off-plan.”
